Australia’s GYRO Group Pushes into Latin America with Brazil Expansion

Brisbane-headquartered GYRO Group, the company behind white-label distribution platform DistroDirect and DIY platform G.Y.R.O. – Get Your Record Out, has opened its first physical office in Brazil via its partnership with local operator MusicStream. The office is based in Santos, São Paulo, and led by Samuel Fernandes, CEO of MusicStream and Head of Operations for DistroDirect in LATAM.

Why it matters:

• Latin America was the world’s fastest growing region in 2025, as per the IFPI Global Music Report 2026.

• Having represented artists and labels in Brazil for several years, establishing a physical presence in the country signals what GYRO Group CEO Andy Irvine calls a “statement of intent.”

• The company says it is “a commitment to serving artists, labels, and music businesses across the region with on-the-ground expertise.”

How it works:

• As per The Music Network, MusicStream will act as DistroDirect’s premium services division in LATAM.

• The Santos office will provide “comprehensive support for artists, labels, and DistroDirect customers – spanning label and distributor management, release planning, press and media relations, digital marketing, international catalog expansion, and personalized artist support.”
