Artists First Launches Music Division, Carmen Murray Will Lead

Talent management and production company Artists First has launched a new Music Division, led by executive Carmen Murray.

The role:

• In her role as Founding Advisor, Murray will establish and guide the company’s music strategy while developing new opportunities across music, sports, branding, intellectual property, and strategic partnerships.

• Working alongside her business partner Michael Michel, she will collaborate with Artists First management teams to create pathways for actors and athletes to engage with the music industry through business development, brand collaborations, and other cross-industry initiatives.

Backstory:

• Murray is the Founder and Co-CEO of TITLE 9, a management, production and intellectual property company representing artists, producers, songwriters and more.

• It’s unclear how her new advisory role will impact TITLE 9, if at all.

• Over the course of her career Murray has built partnerships with Universal Music Publishing Group, Def Jam Recordings, Atlantic Records, Republic Records, Epic Records, Motown, Warner Chappell Music, Roc Nation, and more.
