Adobe is partnering with Universal Music Group (UMG) and Warner Music Group (WMG) to bring fully licensed music clips from leading artists directly into Adobe Premiere mobile.
Why it matters:
The partnership gives Premiere mobile users access to licensed music from popular WMG and UMG artists for use in their video creations.
The integration also creates opportunities for artists and songwriters to reach new audiences through music featured in user-generated videos.
How it works:
Premiere mobile users can browse, search and preview trending music by artist or track, filter by genre and duration, bookmark favorites, and explore label-curated collections.
They can add up to 60 seconds of a popular track directly to their video.
Customizable templates paired with music will also be available, allowing users to build videos around a track from the beginning.
Users can export finished videos and post them to licensed social platforms.
Crucially, the tracks are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only, with Adobe Stock Audio remaining the resource for projects requiring commercially licensed music.
Adobe says UMG and WMG music will be “coming soon” to Premiere mobile.
What they said:
Bryan Stone, SVP, Business Development, UMG: “By bringing licensed music from UMG artists into Adobe Premiere mobile, we’re giving creators new ways to build their stories around the songs they love for the first time, while helping our artists and songwriters reach new audiences.”
Rachel Scarpati, Warner Music Group VP, Digital Strategy and Business Development: “The way people experience and engage with music extends far beyond traditional listening platforms. Our partnership with Adobe Premiere mobile integrates WMG’s catalog directly into the creative process, opening up new possibilities for creative expression and deeper fan engagement.”
