Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter Set New Spotify Records
All hail the queens of pop
Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter have been busy breaking Spotify streaming records with their latest albums, The Life of a Showgirl and Man’s Best Friend respectively.
Carpenter:
The singer’s seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, garnered 64.4 million Spotify streams on its first day, becoming the platform’s most-streamed album in a single day by a female artist in 2025.
The album’s second single, “Tears,” was streamed 9.2 million times on its first day, earning Carpenter the record for biggest opening day for a song by a female artist on Spotify in 2025.
In addition, every track from the album landed on the Spotify Top 20 Global chart.
Swift:
Just how long those landmarks stand remains to be seen, with Swift set to release her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.
Swift is already breaking records, with the album becoming the most pre-saved album in Spotify history, more than a month before its release.
The previous record holder? Swift, with last year’s The Tortured Poets Department.
