Symphonic Forms New Strategic Alliance with Korea’s Abyss Company
The deal seeks to expand the global reach of Southeast Asian artists
Independent music distribution and marketing company Symphonic has formed a strategic partnership with Korean label and artist management organization Abyss Company.
The deal:
The alliance will give Abyss Company access to Symphonic’s international infrastructure and distribution expertise to distribute its roster of Southeast Asian artists globally.
The first releases will feature rising Filipino acts Anthony Meneses and Matéo.
The partnership follows the Florida-headquartered Symphonic’s expansion in the UK and Europe.
What they said:
Twinky Lagdameo, Senior Manager, A&R and Business Development, Southeast Asia at Symphonic: “We see incredible potential in Southeast Asia, and partnering with a forward-thinking company like Abyss helps bring that potential to light. It’s an exciting time to see Korean and Southeast Asian creativity come together and reach a wider audience.”
Timothy Kim, COO of Abyss Company: “Our vision at Abyss has always been to create a space where artists – regardless of nationality – can grow authentically and be heard globally. This collaboration is a meaningful step in bridging Korean excellence and Filipino creativity, with Symphonic as a key partner in that journey.”
