Superstruct Entertainment to Support Wellbeing of Artists Across its Festival Portfolio

Extends partnership with OpenUp to provide free, confidential access to psychologists

Superstruct Entertainment, the operators behind festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Defqon.1 and Mighty Hoopla, is expanding its partnership with mental wellbeing platform OpenUp to provide dedicated support for artists performing across its festival portfolio this summer.

How it works:

  • Artists will have direct access to certified psychologists and lifestyle experts through OpenUp’s confidential digital platform.

  • The professionals will offer support for issues ranging from performance anxiety and burn out to the wider pressures facing touring artists.

Existing relationship:

  • OpenUp already provides wellbeing support to Superstruct employees.

What they said:

  • Alex Mahon, CEO at Superstruct Entertainment: “We recognize that wellbeing matters both on and off stage, which is why we are extending our partnership with OpenUp to support not just our teams, but also the artists who bring our festivals to life. Through this pilot, artists performing at our events will have direct, confidential access to professional support, whether they are dealing with performance pressure, exhaustion or the wider demands of life on the road. There is still much more the industry can do in this area, but we hope this is a positive step towards making support easier to access for the people at the heart of live entertainment.”
