Superstruct Dissolves Subsidiary in Charge of Dutch Mega Festival DGTL
DGTL will continue through different Superstruct business channels, but other festivals will be disbanded
Superstruct Entertainment, the UK-based global event promoter, has nixed the Netherlands’ Apenkooi Events. This company oversaw dance music festival brands such as DGTL, STRAF\_WERK, Pleinvrees, Amsterdam Open Air, and The Gardens of Babylon.
What’s next:
DGTL and The Gardens of Babylon will still be held.
DGTL will become part of Awakenings, another major dance promoter centered in Europe.
The Gardens of Babylon will operate through the overall Superstruct organization.
The remaining Apenkooi events will be shuttered.
What they said:
Superstruct via IQ Magazine: “A decision has been made to discontinue Apenkooi Events as part of a portfolio optimisation process. The brands DGTL and Gardens of Babylon will continue to operate. Going forward, DGTL will operate under the Awakenings umbrella, with a focus on efficiency and alignment across production, management, bookings, and marketing. Gardens of Babylon will continue as a brand within the wider organisation. We regularly review our portfolio to determine where to focus our resources and investments. This is a normal and continuous part of doing business.”
