Stern Management Expands Into The UK
Managers Andrew Mishko and Jill Irvine have joined the company
Stern Management, the company founded by former nothing records/Atlantic staffer Nick Stern, is expanding into the UK with the hiring of London-based manager Andrew Mishko and day-to-day manager Jill Irvine.
The new hires:
Mishko was most recently a manager at Bad Habit, while simultaneously serving as label manager of the A.G. Cook-founded PC Music imprint – a role he will continue alongside his new duties at Stern.
He will bring clients such as EKKSTACY, Witch Post, Alaska Reid, Dylan Fraser, Martha Skye Murphy (co-managed with Irvine) and Mangetsu to Stern.
They will join a roster that includes Djo, Finn Wolfhard, Metric, The Black Angels, Ben Abraham, Phosphorescent, Karina Rykman, Durry and Ill Peach.
Background:
Mishko entered the music industry as a stagehand at 16, before moving into stage and production manager duties at local Goldenvoice venues.
He later served as a tour manager, audio engineer and backline tech, touring with artists such as M83, Ryan Bingham, Alesso and The Drums, going on to manage the latter.
Colorado-based manager Jill Irvine has worked at Saddle Creek Records and Paradigm Talent Agency, and brings over a decade of experience across management, agency and venue operations to the role.
Recent Stern successes:
Djo – artist, producer, songwriter and actor Joe Keery – just hit Number 1 at US Alternative Radio with “Basic Being Basic.”
He also recently surpassed 2.5 billion streams across his catalog, and his song “End of Beginning” was certified triple platinum.
Recent Glastonbury and Coachella debuts will be backed up by his mainstage performance at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1.
What they said:
Nick Stern: “Andrew is, first and foremost, a music lover with impeccable taste. I love his roster and his dedication to developing career artists. As Stern Management grows, having a UK presence has become essential, and Andrew’s ground-work in the market will prove invaluable to the company and our roster. Beyond our friendship, I’m excited for the energy that Andrew and Jill will bring to the company, and look forward to diving in.”
