Sphere Entertainment Co., the company that owns and operates Sphere Las Vegas, recently posted its earnings for the period that ended June 30, 2025. Revenue totaled $282.7 million, which was a 3% or $9.3 million increase from the same period last year.
Earnings breakdown:
The venue itself earned $175.6 million last quarter, which was $24.4 million or 16% higher than Q2 2024.
Sphere hosted 16% more concerts and corporate events this quarter.
This included nine more concert residencies from artists such as country star Kenny Chesney and the Grateful Dead spin-off group, Dead & Co.
Sphere's operating expenses increased by $76.4 million or 12%.
The venue intends to host over 100 events in 2025. Up from 70 in 2024.
Sphere experience revenues, wherein the venue hosts movie screenings and other non-concert public events, went down $6.7 million as a result of “lower per-show revenue”.
The venue’s expenses fell by 6% to $96.4 million, with an operating loss of $83.4 million. This is a $21.1 million, or 20% improvement.
Total adjusted operating income for Sphere Entertainment Co. increased to $61.5 million as the company plots an expansion in Abu Dhabi and considers opening mini spheres in different markets.
