Sony Music Broadens Partnership with German Rap Label Two Sides

Sony Music GSA and German hip-hop label/management company Two Sides are expanding their joint venture partnership.

What it means:

• Two Sides Managing Director Lucas Teuchner will take on a broader advisory role around creative talent development and repertoire strategy across Sony Music in the GSA region.

• He will still maintain his MD role with Two Sides.

• As per Music Business Worldwide, the expanded joint venture aims to strengthen Sony Music’s footprint in rap, pop, and hip-hop in the German-speaking market.

Backstory:

• Two Sides was co-founded in 2017 by Teuchner and German rapper Bausa.

• It quickly established a joint venture with Sony Music label Four Music, and has been distributed by Sony Music in the recorded music space.

• Its roster includes artists and labels such as Feder Musik (Apache 207), Achraf’s 6PM Records, the Bipolar imprint (Kane, badchieff, Sosa La M, YC and Marli), as well as reezy, SIRA and more.
