Shirley Halperin and Sean Woods Tapped as New Co-Editors-In-Chief of Rolling Stone

Legendary music magazine Rolling Stone has named its two new Editors-In-Chief (EIC): Shirley Halperin and Sean Woods. Halperin joins after serving as Co-EIC of The Hollywood Reporter and Woods has been promoted from Executive Editor at Rolling Stone.

Who they are:

• Halperin is the first female EIC of Rolling Stone since the magazine was founded in 1967.

• She has previously been in managerial roles at Variety, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, and Los Angeles Magazine.

• Woods has been at Rolling Stone for over 20 years. While there, his work has earned various awards, including an Emmy nomination and National Magazine Awards, George Polk Awards, GLAAD, DART, and LA Press Club Awards.
