Music mogul Scooter Braun has left HYBE’s board of directors, but he will continue to work with the South Korean entertainment giant as an advisor. The exit was confirmed in HYBE's Q1 2026 report, in which Braun’s name is absent from the list of directors.
Background:
Braun first joined the board in 2021 when HYBE acquired his Ithaca Holdings for $1.05 billion.
With that deal, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande went under the HYBE umbrella alongside labels such as Big Machine Label Group.
Braun then took on the role of CEO of HYBE America when HYBE bought label and management company Quality Control Music.
In 2024, Braun announced he would step away from management to focus on HYBE, but then in 2025 he stepped down as CEO of HYBE America.
Isaac Lee, Chairman of HYBE Latin America, now runs HYBE America as well.
