Rostrum Signs Licensing Deals with Spotify and TikTok, Launches New Distribution Platform
The independent music company is making several big moves to grow its presence in the industry
Rostrum Pacific, the independent music group, has announced several major updates to its business model. The company has struck direct licensing agreements with Spotify and TikTok, established a new distribution and catalog management platform called SpaceHeater, and named Samantha Moore as President of SpaceHeater.
The details:
SpaceHeater was designed to address three primary issues: "Complex and opaque catalog migration, limited access to deep data insights, and insufficient catalog optimization."
Beyond the deal with Spotify and TikTok, SpaceHeater will also access Amazon, Tidal, and other music platforms.
The platform will distribute the music from Rostrum’s portfolio, including the Rostrum Records, Cantora, and Fat Beats catalogues.
Samantha Moore:
Moore built the Commercial Insights and Business Intelligence verticals at the prominent distributor The Orchard.
She also served as Chief of Staff and SVP of Business Operations at ADA.
What they said:
Moore: "It has been a great honor to join the team at Rostrum Pacific, who I have worked with and admired for the last few years. The team here has proven their ability to take tricky entrepreneurial ideas and turn them into reality, with an independent fearlessness that is ingrained in the company's DNA. I'm excited to bring SpaceHeater into this next phase of growth in 2026.”
Mike Pelczynski, Rostrum Pacific's EVP of Digital Strategy: "Direct relationships like this move beyond economics toward clarity, accountability, and alignment with where platforms are heading. These agreements position us as a valued partner at the rightsholder level, while SpaceHeater ensures our artists and label clients benefit from modern infrastructure built for today's realities."
