National Music Publishers’ Association Names New Board Chair and Vice Chair

The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) has made some changes to key positions at the top. peermusic Executive Chair Ralph Peer II will chair NMPA’s Board of Directors, and Golnar Khosrowshahi, Founder and CEO of Reservoir, will serve as Vice Chair.

Ralph Peer II

• Peer has been on NMPA’s board for 54 years.

• Since he started peermusic, the company has begun operating 39 offices in 32 countries.

• peermusic owns or administers over 1 million titles.

• Peer’s accolades include Lifetime Achievement Awards from the NMPA and Music Publishers Association, the International Confederation of Music Publishers Award for outstanding contribution to global music publishing, and the Music Publishers Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Golnar Khosrowshahi

• Khosrowshahi’s publishing house, Reservoir, is the first female-founded and led publicly traded independent music company.

• Reservoir operates in New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, London, Abu Dhabi, and Mumbai.

• Khosrowshahi has been named a Billboard Power Player, Billboard‘s Women in Music Executive of the Year, and Music Week’s International Woman of the Year.
