


Live Nation Expands Southern Hemisphere Footprint
The live event giant has acquired New Zealand festival producer Team Event
Live Nation has acquired Christchurch-based festival producer Team Event, the body behind New Zealand’s largest two-day festival, Electric Avenue.
The details:
- Electric Avenue was founded in Christchurch in 2015, and draws 40,000 people per day. 
- Previous headliners include Lorde, The Chemical Brothers, Flume and The Prodigy. 
- Team Event Director Callam Mitchell says the partnership will afford access to talent and expertise, and help secure the long-term future of the business. 
- Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. 
- Live Nation’s existing Antipodean portfolio includes NZ’s Rhythm & Vines festival and the Greenstone Summer Concert Tour across regional areas in NZ, and the Spilt Milk brand in Australia.
