Sonic Intelligence Academy Debuts World’s First AI Music Charts
They’re designed to track the performance and cultural impact of AI-generated music
Sonic Intelligence Academy (SIQA), the standards-driven organization focused on advancing ethical, transparent and responsible AI-generated music, is launching dedicated charts for AI-generated music.
Why it matters:
The SIQA AI Music Top 100 and Top 100 AI Covers charts will launch on January 30.
They are built specifically for AI-generated music, providing a dedicated framework for measuring AI music on its own terms.
SIQA says they will spotlight AI-created tracks gaining meaningful traction across streaming, video and social platforms, along with airplay.
The organization claims it exists to responsibly support the evolution of AI-generated music as a distinct creative category, while respecting human artists and audiences alike.
How it works:
AI music creators will be able to submit eligible releases through SIQA’s submission system, in the same way artists submit work for traditional chart consideration.
SIQA claims to use consistent guidelines to determine what qualifies as AI music, with each entry verified and evaluated.
Chart-eligible tracks must be transparently created, properly attributed, and must not use cloned or simulated voices of real public figures, living or deceased, or misrepresent the identity of artists or performers.
Independent agency:
SIQA was founded by artists, technologists, designers and developers.
It operates independently of major music labels, DSPs and AI companies, and says it’s positioning itself as “a neutral, standards-focused institution for one of the fastest-developing parts of the music business.”
