


HYBE Opens New Branch in India
This is the fifth global expansion for the major South Korean entertainment company
HYBE Co., the South Korean company that built the global K-pop sensations BTS, has announced it is opening a new unit in Mumbai, India. This arm of the entertainment giant will host auditions throughout India to discover talent and curate them into professional artists supported by HYBE's network.
HYBE India:
This is the latest global expansion for HYBE, which now has offices in the US, Japan, Latin America, and China.
In addition to signing Indian artists, the new branch will serve as an entry point for current HYBE artists to develop Indian audiences.
India has 185 million music streaming users, the second largest in the world.
Streaming for Korean artists in India has increased by 362% between 2018 and 2023, according to the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.

HYBE: “HYBE India will introduce artists, who will connect the local Indian market with the global market, leveraging HYBE's full-spectrum capabilities across the music industry from talent discovery and development to album production, management, marketing, and concert planning.”
