Brightlights
Brightlights is launching a data and predictive intelligence platform designed to help venues, promoters and talent buyers make more informed booking decisions.
How it works:
Brightlights forecasts regional demand, evaluates potential bookings, models event profitability, and tracks performance, all in one dashboard.
Its central artist and event compatibility assessment, the Brightlights Score (BLS), helps users evaluate potential bookings.
The platform consolidates fragmented data, including streaming activity, regional audience trends, ticketing and touring history, and venue metrics, into actionable intelligence.
The founders:
Brightlights was founded by Dan Leitzell, former VP of Nightlife Partnerships at DICE, and Greg Pietroforte, who previously built BuddyBand, which was acquired this year.
Launch dates:
Brightlights is launching in the UK with a select group of promoters from independent ticketing and events platform Skiddle.
On October 20, it will offer a free suite of tools covering historical performance reviews, overall ticketing analytics and a profit and loss calculator.
On November 2, it will launch the subscription-based Intro Tier, adding artist research and comparisons, artist suggestions, upcoming show tracking, per-show analytics, the Brightlights Score and its breakdowns, and a venue search tool.
What they said:
Greg Pietroforte: “Booking decisions are some of the highest-stakes financial bets in live music. Yet despite having access to more data than ever, the industry still lacks a unified way to make sense of it. Streaming activity, regional audience trends, ticketing and touring history, and venue metrics all signal future demand – but that information lives in various places. We built Brightlights to bring those signals together in one place, giving venues and promoters a clear picture of demand before they commit to a lineup.”
