Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza is a major annual music festival conceived in 1991 by Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction as a farewell tour. Originally a traveling festival from 1991-1997, it became a permanent Chicago fixture in 2005 at Grant Park. The festival features diverse genres including alternative rock, hip hop, electronic dance music, and punk, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees annually and generating significant economic impact for Chicago.
