Former HYBE Exec Andrew Kautz Launches Consulting Firm

Former HYBE executive Andrew Kautz has launched a bespoke consulting practice, Kautz & Associates.

Built for depth:

• Kautz says he will advise a “small number of hand-selected private clients as they navigate not only the music industry but the ever-changing opportunities and challenges that technology and progress present.”

• “This isn’t a firm built for volume,” he adds, “it’s built for depth.”

Backstory:

• Kautz was most recently the President of Strategy & Operations for HYBE Label Service, the South Korean entertainment giant’s first global department.

• There he created unified distribution, marketing, and operational infrastructure across its business units in North America, Latin America, Japan, Korea, and India.

• In 2005 Kautz was Scott Borchetta’s first hire at Big Machine, serving in numerous roles including General Manager, COO, and President of Label Operations, and working with artists such as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, and more.
