Dialled In Records Launches to Spotlight South Asian Artists

Dialled In, the UK cultural organization founded by a collective of South Asian entrepreneurs, curators and music professionals, has announced the launch of Dialled In Records.

Why it matters:

• The label seeks to release music, develop careers, and build international pathways for artists rooted in South Asian culture and community.

• The London-based label is partnering with The Collective, the home for entrepreneurial A&Rs within Island-EMI at Universal Music Group UK.

First signings:

• The label launches with one of Dialled In’s founders, Ahadadream, and his single “Bass Dhol,” featuring Raf Saperra and Skrillex.

• Indian experimental electronic music group Excise Dept is its other initial signing.

Launch date:

• Dialled In Records will launch on May 30 as part of the Dialled In 5th Birthday festival in London.
