Audio Chateau Records Secures $9M Series A Funding

Music label and creator development company Audio Chateau Records (ACR) has secured up to $9 million in Series A financing, with the round nearly closed.

Capital injection:

• The company, founded by Jingle Punks co-founder Jared Gutstadt, says the funding will support its next phase of growth as it brings together music, original content and commercial partnerships with sports, brands, live entertainment and media.

• Investors in the round include Jonathan Schulman, Ben Lurie, and Julie Gauthier of CW Ventures.

What it does:

• ACR recognizes that artists today need to do more than make music, with audience-building, content creation and brand development increasingly important parts of their career.

• Its model incorporates these activities into artist development from the outset, rather than treating them as later-career opportunities.

• By combining the creative resources of a record label with the commercial capabilities of an agency and content studio, it aims to help established and emerging talent grow their careers, brands, and businesses.

• The Audio Chateau in Los Angeles houses three studios supporting recording, original content, and collaborative production, and has hosted artists such as MGK, Ty Dolla $ign and Miranda Lambert.

Strategic advisor:

• GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and producer Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd has joined ACR as a strategic advisor.
