YouTube Music now has over 150 million subscribers. This figure, which includes trials, was released as part of Alphabet’s (YouTube’s parent company) Q3 2026 earnings call on Wednesday, October 28.
The numbers:
The video platform had 125 million in March 2025.
It reached 100 million in February 2024.
This demonstrates a slower growth rate of 2 million subscribers per month to 1.3 million.
Alphabet did not share how many of those subscribers pay for YouTube Premium or specifically for YouTube Music.
YouTube Premium includes access to YouTube Music along with ad-free access to the main YouTube platform and other features.
What they said:
Google Chief Business Officer Philipp Schindler: “Subscriptions continue to grow faster than ads led by YouTube Music Premium. With Premium and Premium Lite, viewers have choice. As more people opt into premium experiences, it’s a win for viewers, creators, and our business. Subscriptions help fund the creator ecosystem and drive the platform forward.”
