Paris-headquartered music streaming and download platform Qobuz launched in Poland on October 23, expanding its presence to 27 countries.
Why it matters:
Poland is the world’s 16th largest recorded music market, with paid subscriptions up 20.5% year-on-year, as per IFPI figures.
Qobuz says Poland possesses a strong hi-fi culture, with Warsaw recently hosting Europe’s second-largest hi-fi event, the Audio Video Show, which aligns with Qobuz’s focus on high quality sound.
International expansion is a core pillar of Qobuz’s growth strategy, with international markets now accounting for over 80% of its revenue.
Push for profitability:
Qobuz reported 45.7% growth in 2025, achieving EBITDA break-even with zero financial debt.
The company is expecting to achieve positive net income in March 2027.
What they said:
Georges Fornay, Deputy General Manager of Qobuz: “Every new country launch follows a clear logic: growing markets where paid streaming is on the rise and where listeners value audio quality. Poland meets all these criteria and represents a new milestone in our international expansion, as Qobuz approaches profitability.”
