Sony Music Publishing (SMP) has promoted Ari Gelaw to Senior Vice President of Creative A&R. She will lead the publisher’s US hip-hop/R&B team.

Gelaw will continue to be based out of Los Angeles, but she will coordinate with the New York and Atlanta offices as well.
She will report to SMP’s President, Head of US A&R Katie Welle.

Gelaw joined SMP as Vice President, Creative A&R in 2022.
