Andreea Gleeson
Former TuneCore CEO Andreea Gleeson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of music funding platform beatBread.
Early priorities:
Gleeson’s early focus will be on expanding the company outside the United States, deepening its distributor and label partnerships, and building on its underwriting capabilities.
Backstory:
Gleeson joined TuneCore in 2015, becoming CEO in 2021.
She exited the company in January this year and subsequently founded AGA (Andreea Gleeson Advisory), advising companies and investors across music, media, and technology.
She replaces Tracy Maddux, who has run beatBread on an interim basis since November 2025 following the death of beatBread Co-Founder and CEO Peter Sinclair in August that year.
Maddux, a long-term advisor to beatBread’s board, will continue to support the company through the transition.
Funding history:
Since its launch in 2020, beatBread says it has provided more than USD $100 million in advances to over 2,000 artists and labels in 42 countries.
What they said:
Andreea Gleeson: “I’ve spent much of my career focused on what independent artists will need next, and access to better capital on artist-friendly terms is one of the most important opportunities ahead. I’m excited to work with this team to bring better funding solutions to more artists and independent music businesses around the world.”
