
Eitaro Shibasaki
Warner Music Japan has named Eitaro Shibasaki as Chief Business Officer (CBO), effective October 1. He will report to Takeshi Okada, President & CEO of Warner Music Japan.
The role:
Shibasaki will oversee Warner Music’s business development and commercial operations in the Japanese market.
His responsibilities will include formulating strategic initiatives, strengthening key partner relationships, driving market share expansion and revenue growth, and leveraging new market opportunities.
Backstory:
Shibasaki brings more than two decades of digital music and industry leadership.
He previously served at RecoChoku Co., Ltd., where he became Executive Officer, Director of Marketing, and Head of Platform in 2015.
There, he co-founded the “Eggs Project,” a joint venture with telco NTT DOCOMO, Inc. and Tower Records Japan Inc.
When the project spun off into Eggs Co., Ltd. in 2019 he was appointed its President.
