Spotify Launches New Program to Support Indie Artists With Studio Time, Therapy, and More

The initiative is called Fresh Finds Forward

Today, Spotify has announced Fresh Finds Forward, a new program designed to provide resources to 10,000 independent artists every year.

The benefits:

  • Free studio time at legendary establishments such as Electric Lady Studios in New York City and The Lighthouse at Ocean Way Nashville.

  • Tour or music video partnerships with Spotify.

  • In-person and virtual events with Spotify team members.

  • Music production tools such as LANDR Studio Pro and Splice’s Creator Plan.

  • Six months of free therapy through BetterHelp.

How it works:

  • Fresh Finds Forward is invite-only.

  • Any artist who is added to Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlists after January 1, 2026, is eligible to be invited.

  • Artists can be selected for the playlist by pitching Spotify’s editorial team.

  • Once an artist is invited and onboarded, they can access the Fresh Finds Forward benefits for 12 months.

What they said:

  • Joe Hadley, Spotify’s Global Head of Music Content and Partnerships: “Fresh Finds has always been about finding artists at a pivotal moment and helping them reach new audiences at the right time. We spent years listening to what independent artists actually need, and those conversations shaped what this program would become. Fresh Finds Forward takes everything we’ve learned from a decade of discovery and builds a support system around it, so participating artists aren’t just getting a playlist placement. They’re getting the benefits, resources, and the community to make the most of that moment.”
