SoundCloud Integrated Into TikTok’s ‘Add to Music App’
The music platform has also launched its Move Your Music feature
TikTok will integrate SoundCloud into its Add to Music App feature, following similar partnerships with Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.
Why it matters:
The Add to Music App feature allows fans to save songs they discover on TikTok to their preferred streaming service.
For SoundCloud users, that means they'll be able to add the songs directly to their Liked Tracks playlist.
As per SoundCloud's press release, since 2024 the Add to Music App feature has generated over one billion track saves – "and many billions more streams" – on music streaming services.
How it works:
Add To Music App appears as a button that says Add Song next to a track name at the bottom of a TikTok video in the For You feed.
Users can also use the Add to Music App feature from an artist's Sound Detail page.
Other SoundCloud news:
The TikTok integration coincides with the debut of SoundCloud's Move Your Music feature.
It allows users to transfer their music libraries (including liked songs and playlists) from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, TIDAL, Deezer and Amazon Music.
