Sony Music Entertainment has acquired the Denmark-based dance music label, One Seven Music. Alongside the acquisition, Sony has named One Seven Co-Founder Janus Barnewitz as Managing Director of Sony Music Denmark.

Barnewitz will begin the position effective immediately.
He will lead Sony Music Denmark's overall strategy, A&R, and creative development.
He will report to Sony Music President of Continental Europe and Africa, Daniel Lieberberg.
Henrik Daldorph will step down from leading Sony Music Denmark after 20 years in the role.

Sony and One Seven have had a partnership for 14 years prior to this new development.
