Following his exit from HYBE America last month, seasoned country executive Scott Borchetta has opened a new management division via the newly established Borchetta Entertainment Group. Country idol Carly Pearce has signed on as a client.
The details:
Mike Blong has joined Borchetta as a manager following his departure from Starstruck Entertainment.
The company will work closely with Big Machine Records, which Borchetta recently reclaimed from HYBE.
Big Machine will also operate as part of Borchetta Entertainment Group.
Blong has worked on Pearce's management team in the past.
Background:
Borchetta was CEO of Big Machine Label Group under the HYBE umbrella.
When Borhcetta left HYBE, he reclaimed the Big Machine name, and HYBE’s country music arm was rebranded as Blue Highway Records.
What they said:
Borchetta: “I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off this new era of Big Machine [than] by announcing the formation of the Borchetta Entertainment Group and a new management vertical, starting with the Grammy/CMA/ACM award-winning Carly Pearce and her longtime management partner, Mike Blong. This new season for Carly, starting with the amazing new Riley Green duet, "If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay," promises to be her best yet. I am so proud to welcome both as the foundational artist and management partner for this exciting new endeavor.”
