New York-headquartered music company Reservoir Media has published its calendar Q3 financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2025 (the company’s fiscal Q2 2026).
Topline Q2 figures:
Reservoir generated $45.4 million, representing 12% YoY growth, or 7% organically excluding acquisitions.
The revenue growth was a result of an 8% YoY rise in music publishing revenue, and a 21% YoY rise in recorded music revenue.
Operating income was up 6% YoY to $10.7 million.
Operating Income Before Depreciation and Amortization (OIBDA) was up 10% to $18.2 million.
Adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) jumped 10% YoY to $19.4 million.
Notable Q2 deals:
The acquisition of Miles Davis’ publishing catalog, valued at between $40-$60 million.
An extended publishing deal for the catalog of Nick Drake, as well as a deal to represent the catalog of Nick’s mother Molly Drake, together with Blue Raincoat Music Publishing.
Several emerging markets deals in conjunction with PopArabia.
Publishing deals with songwriter Emily Reid, GRAMMY-nominated songwriter-producer Dave Pittenger, and Bobby Vinton.
Fiscal 2026 guidance:
The company has raised its fiscal 2026 guidance.
It now expects revenue of $167-$170 million, up from the previous guidance of $164-$169 million.
