Primary Wave Partners on Catalog Deal with The Verve Pipe’s Brian Vander Ark

Independent music publisher Primary Wave Music has announced a partnership with Brian Vander Ark, lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of multi-platinum alternative rock band The Verve Pipe.

The terms:

• The partnership covers Vander Ark’s music publishing and recorded music catalog, including all songs across The Verve Pipe’s more than three-decade career.

• This includes hits such as “Colorful,” “Photograph,” and “The Freshmen,” which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

• The band will gain access to Primary Wave’s marketing team and publishing infrastructure, which includes digital strategy, licensing, sync opportunities, and film & TV production.

• Financial details were not disclosed.

Wave of deals:

• The partnership is the latest in a series of Primary Wave deals with artists such as Savage Garden’s Daniel Jones, The Who’s Pete Townshend, Foreigner’s Mick Jones, as well as the estates of Robert Palmer and Harry Chapin.
