[PIAS] Expands Classical Music Footprint with Signum Records Acquisition

[PIAS] has acquired independent classical label Signum Records.

Why it matters:

• The deal expands [PIAS]’ footprint in the classical music world, while enabling Signum to accelerate its international ambitions.

• Since its launch in 1997, Signum’s roster has included acclaimed artists and ensembles such as The King’s Singers, Tenebrae, Alessio Bax, Julian Bliss, Philharmonia Orchestra, James Rhodes and more.

The deal:

• Signum will become part of the [PIAS] Label Group while operating under its own established brand and preserving its independence and artistic vision.

• Signum will benefit from [PIAS]’ global infrastructure, international marketing expertise, distribution capabilities, and operational resources.

• Signum co-founder Steve Long will stay on as Managing Director.

• The acquisition does not include Signum’s sister company, Floating Earth.
