Live Nation Entertainment has announced a majority investment in Bizarro Peru, one of the country’s leading promoters.
Why it matters:
The investment expands Live Nation’s presence in the Peruvian market.
As per Pollstar, Bizarro promotes and produces more than 200 shows a year across Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Uruguay.
How it will work:
Live Nation will work with Bizarro Peru’s leadership team, alongside the existing Live Nation team in Lima led by Alberto Menacho.
They will work to strengthen operations, expand programming and bring more premier tours and live experiences to the country.
As per Live Nation’s media release, Bizarro Peru and Live Nation’s existing Lima-based team will operate as a unified local organization.
What they said:
Michael Rapino, Live Nation CEO and President: “Lima, Peru is the 5th largest city in South America and an increasingly important destination for artists touring the continent. Partnering with Bizarro Peru allows us to strengthen what already works, support their local expertise, and bring even more great shows and live experiences to fans in Lima and across the country.”
