
Jordi Tello
Sony Music Publishing (SMP) has elevated Jordi Tello to Managing Director of Iberia with immediate effect.
The role:
Tello will oversee creative and business operations across Spain and Portugal, strengthening key relationships with clients and industry partners, and expanding global support for SMP songwriters.
He will be based out of Madrid and report directly to SMP President, International, Guy Henderson.
He succeeds longtime SMP Spain MD Juan Ignacio Alonso, who retired at the end of August.
Backstory:
Tello joined SMP in April 2024 as A&R Director, signing or working with talent including Rels B, Arde Bogotá, Morad, RVFV, Cruz Cafuné, to name a few.
He began his career as a musician before joining Warner Music as an A&R in 1999.
From 2002 – 2017 he was at Universal Music Publishing, eventually moving into the A&R Director role.
He joined Sony Music as an A&R Director in 2017, before returning to music publishing at SMP in 2024.
