Impressed Recordings & ie:east Launch ‘Circle Distribution’
Helps independent artists and labels get their music to domestic and overseas retailers
Artist management company ie:east and independent Australian record label Impressed Recordings have teamed up to create a new physical distribution company, Circle Distribution.
Who’s involved:
ie:east artist manager Andre Calman (Lance Ferguson, BLOKBSTR, Mondo Freaks) and Impressed Recordings Founder and MD Luke Bevans are Co-Directors.
Former Inertia Records and Shock Records alumnus Scott Bradbury joins as Head of Sales.
ie:east started as the Australian division of British management company ie:music, but now operates independently under Directors Tim Clark and James Lancaster.
How it started:
Bevans and Calman first worked together in 2024 on Impressed releases for The Bamboos and The Ferguson Rogers Process.
With few options to distribute independent vinyl releases in Australia, they brainstormed the idea for Circle Distribution, bringing it to fruition in a matter of months.
What they said:
Luke Bevans (as per The Music): “Working with ie:east and Andre felt like a natural next step for Impressed. We are fortunate now that we have full control of our D2C customer experience with warehouse space to pick, pack and send great music around the world. Then, the experience of buying and selling music into retail in Australia was something I’ve been passionate about for a long time – trying to make sure that stores and record buyers could get as much incredible music on time, in great condition, is something that I’m passionate about as a record buyer myself.”
