South Korean entertainment company HYBE generated record quarterly revenue and operating profit in Q3 2026, with BTS’ world tour driving a surge in live and merchandise income.
Financial performance:
Revenue reached KRW 1.53 trillion (USD $1.08 billion), up 109.8% year-on-year and 5.2% quarter-on-quarter, marking HYBE’s first quarter above USD $1 billion.
Operating profit rose to KRW 188.5 billion (USD $133 million), compared with a KRW 42.2 billion operating loss a year earlier, delivering a 12.4% operating margin.
Net profit fell 89.7% quarter-on-quarter to KRW 11.3 billion (USD $8 million), partly reflecting foreign exchange valuation losses on foreign-currency holdings.
Live and recorded music:
Concert revenue hit a record KRW 726.8 billion (USD $512 million), up 196.7% year-on-year, led by BTS’ European and US tour dates, which averaged around 70,000 fans per show.
Q3 concert revenue alone was equivalent to approximately 95% of HYBE’s full-year 2025 concert revenue.
Merchandise and licensing revenue also reached a quarterly record of KRW 334.6 billion (USD $236 million), leaping 98.7% year-on-year and 7.7% quarter-on-quarter.
Recorded music revenue totaled KRW 282.8 billion (USD $199 million), up 49% year-on-year but down 13.4% quarter-on-quarter.
Streaming accounted for approximately 30% of the segment.
