ChatGPT Integrating Apple Music Into Its Platform

Apple Music is set to integrate with ChatGPT, as confirmed by OpenAI.

Why it matters:

• Apple Music subscribers will be able to ask ChatGPT to create playlists and more.

• The move follows Spotify’s integration in October, alongside apps such as Booking.com, Canva, Coursera, Expedia, Figma, and Zillow.

How it will work:

• As per 9To5Mac, the app will likely function in a similar fashion to how Spotify works within ChatGPT.

• When a user starts a message to ChatGPT by naming the app – ie. “Spotify, make a New Year’s Eve playlist with a mix of retro and modern music” – the AI tool will surface the app in the chat and use relevant context to help.

• The ChatGPT integration requires users to have an active Apple Music subscription.
