Following the cancelation of its 2025 event due to severe weather, Bonnaroo has ended speculation about its future by announcing it will return in 2026, albeit with a few changes.
Speculation:
Since the cancelation of the 2025 event rumours have abounded about the future of the festival, in part due to a series of surveys circulated by organizers asking attendees’ thoughts on things such as changing the location, date and size of future events.
Now, in an Instagram post organizers have announced the 2026 event will take place in its traditional June timeframe and at longstanding location The Farm, but there will be a few changes.
The changes:
As per its announcement, campsites that were subjected to the most flooding won’t be used in 2026, resulting in a reduced capacity on The Farm.
Camping entry and programming in the Outeroo area will begin on Wednesday.
The event will kick off on Thursday night with an “epic welcome party” on the What Stage, with all other Centeroo stages programmed Friday to Sunday.
The Infinity Stage will be replaced by the Where in the Woods UFO stage, which will move to Centeroo and feature “late night DJs and dance parties.”
The Where in the Woods space will remain as a “relaxation haven” in Outeroo.
During the offseason The Farm will undergo a “multi-million dollar” upgrade that will include reseeding the property, increasing access roads within the campgrounds, and adding more drainage and water runoff pathways.
