BMG Expands Jean-Michel Jarre Relationship to Include Recorded Catalog

BMG has expanded its long-standing relationship with electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre to include exclusive licensing of his recorded catalog and future works.

Expanded deal:

• Jarre’s recorded catalog is now under BMG on an exclusive licensing basis across multiple territories worldwide.

• The partnership builds on BMG’s existing relationship with Jarre, including the sound recordings of his first three albums.

• The companies will work together on the long-term development, protection and celebration of the catalog, alongside new creative work.

Existing relationship:

• In 2022 BMG acquired Jarre’s music publishing catalog, including Oxygene and Équinoxe, alongside his writer’s income stream.

• The transaction was BMG’s largest single deal in France.
