Adobe’s Firefly Now Crafts Custom, Fully Licensed AI Music for Video
The feature is currently in beta
Adobe has joined the ranks of platforms operating in the generative AI music space with the updated version of Adobe Firefly.
What is it:
Currently in beta, Firefly’s ‘Generate Soundtrack’ tool can compose an original, studio-quality soundtrack tailored to a user’s video.
It automatically trims the music to the video’s length.
Users simply input the mood and energy they want from a song.
‘Generate Soundtrack’ is, says the company, powered by Adobe’s “commercially safe” Firefly Audio Model, which creates “fully licensed, studio quality instrumental tracks.”
Ethically trained:
As per Music Business Worldwide, Adobe states its AI tools are ethically trained on licensed content.
“We do not analyze your content to train generative AI models, unless you choose to submit content to the Adobe Stock marketplace,” says the company.
It adds: “Our Adobe Firefly generative AI models were trained on licensed content, like Adobe Stock, and public domain content where copyright has expired.”
