Rhiannon Giddens (born February 21, 1977) is an American musician, singer, and multi-instrumentalist known for her eclectic folk music. A two-time GRAMMY Award winner, MacArthur "Genius" grant recipient, and Pulitzer Prize winner, she was a founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Her work often highlights African American contributions to American music.
