Warner Music Names Jean-Sebastien Permal as SVP of A&R for Central Europe and EMEA

Warner Music has appointed Jean-Sebastien Permal to the newly created role of Senior Vice President of A&R for Central Europe and EMEA. In this position, Permal will have a hand in A&R strategy across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, and Belgium, in addition to the Middle East and Africa.

• Permal will lead domestic labels across key central European countries.

• Zooming out, he will oversee artist discovery, signings, and strategic partnerships across every region under his title.

• He reports to Simon Robson, President, Warner Music EMEA, and Niels Walboomers, President, Warner Music Central Europe.

Background:

• Permal was previously Vice President of A&R for Continental Europe and Africa at Sony Music.

• He’s worked with prominent artists such as Amelie Lens, DYSTINCT, Oxlade, Purple Disco Machine, and Sam Feldt.

• At Sony, he secured partnerships with Avalon (Netherlands and Morocco), Crux Global (Ghana), and Signatune (France).

• He also launched the dance label noted.records.
