Vietnam Lands $5.5 Billion Entertainment Complex
The Ho Chi Minh City-located complex broke ground last week
Ho Chi Minh City will soon be home to a $5.5 billion entertainment complex, the Rach Chiec National Sports Complex.
Why it matters:
Central to the development will be a 70,000-seat stadium with a retractable roof capable of hosting international-level sports events and large-scale concerts.
As per Digital Music News, the complex is expected to “jump-start Vietnam’s events infrastructure.”
Multipurpose:
The complex will also feature indoor arenas and sports centers, including an international-standard aquatic center.
The conference center will include a main hall with 10,000 seats, as well as a smaller room for international conferences and concerts.
A large portion of the site will be reserved for public spaces such as parks and plazas.
Due date:
It is expected to take eight years to complete.
