Universal Music Latin America Announces Executive Appointments

Aligns leadership across Latin America, Iberia, and US Latino markets

Universal Music Latin America has announced three key strategic appointments designed to strengthen the company’s creative and operational alignment across Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and the US Latino market.

The appointments:

  • Alfredo Delgadillo has been upped to CEO & President, Universal Music Latin Entertainment (UMLE).

  • He will assume oversight of Universal Music Latino in the United States, while continuing to lead Universal Music Mexico and regional Mexican label Fono.

  • He will be based in Mexico City, and report directly to Jesús López, Chairman & CEO, Universal Music Latin America and Iberian Peninsula.

  • Daniel Luna has been appointed General Manager, Universal Music Latino.

  • He will be based in Miami and report to Delgadillo.

  • Angel Kaminsky has been appointed President, A&R and Artist Relations, Universal Music Latin America and Iberian Peninsula.

  • He will be based in Miami and report to Jesús López.

  • He will lead the region’s creative strategy, working closely with UMG’s artist roster to strengthen global development pathways.

Backstories:

  • Delgadillo, a three-decade UMG/EMI veteran, has led Universal Music Mexico since 2024.

  • Kaminsky, a 34-year veteran of the Latin music industry, has worked with UMG since 2010, and has been instrumental in the crossover success of artists such as J Balvin and Karol G.

  • Luna has more than 25 years’ experience spanning A&R, marketing strategy and label operations, with roles at Warner Music Group and his own indie label D Luna Music prior to joining UMG.
