Ticketmaster Australia has become the sole ticketing provider to all venues under the purview of Venues NSW, a New South Wales government agency that organizes 500 sports and entertainment events every year.
The deal:
Venues NSW oversees Accor Stadium, CommBank Stadium, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Showground, Sydney Cricket Ground, Allianz Stadium, Win Sports and Entertainment Centre, and Penrith Stadium, which is reopening in 2027.
Ticketmaster will sell tickets for all events at these venues, which include sporting events and concerts.
The service will also offer benefits from its proprietary technology, such as personalized in-app recommendations, authenticity guarantees, and digital tickets.
What they said:
Stephen Saunders, Group GM Event Acquisition and Partnerships, Venues NSW: “We look forward to working closely with the Ticketmaster team to deliver their world-class ticketing experience as well as bringing new and exciting events to our venues around NSW.”
Gavin Taylor, Managing Director, Ticketmaster Australia: “This is a milestone moment for Ticketmaster. By teaming up with Venues NSW, we’re streamlining the ticketing experience across some of the state’s most iconic venues and unlocking new ways for fans to connect with the live experiences they love.”
