Ticketmaster Grows Face Value Resale Program with CashorTrade

Verified Ticketmaster concert tickets can now be resold on the fan-to-fan marketplace

Ticketmaster has launched an integration with fan-to-fan ticketing marketplace CashorTrade, allowing fans to resell verified Ticketmaster tickets on the platform at face value or below.

Why it matters:

  • For fans, the integration offers verified concert tickets at face value, transparent fan-to-fan resale, and reduced risk of price inflation and fraud.

  • For artists and events it expands face value resale options, and engenders greater confidence that tickets stay with real fans.

Backstory:

  • Founded in 2009, CashorTrade is a pioneer of the Face Value Movement.

  • It’s used by artists such as Phish, Stick Figure, Waxahatchee, Daniel Donato, and more.

  • The integration builds on Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange, which launched in 2019 to give artists the option to cap resale prices.

What they said:

  • David Marcus, EVP of Music at Ticketmaster: “Fans deserve more ways to buy and sell tickets at the original price, with confidence that what they’re getting is legitimate. By working with CashorTrade, we’re expanding face value resale in a way that gives fans more choice, and we’ll continue to support partnerships with resale platforms that operate with integrity and respect artist terms.”
