Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG) has announced that its touring business, TEG Live, is evolving into a platform business designed to bring together leading promoters and entrepreneurial talent, underpinned by shared strong delivery capabilities.
How it works:
The platform will be led by Tim McGregor, Global Head of Touring at TEG, who will oversee strategic direction and portfolio performance as the TEG Live platform scales across genres and markets.
It’s designed to empower promoters to operate with entrepreneurial autonomy, while being supported by Ticketek Group platforms and technology.
Key appointments:
As part of this evolution, TEG Live has announced a series of senior appointments.
Former CEO of Sony Music Australia, Vanessa Picken, has been appointed Global Director, Music Strategy. She will drive music strategy and global advocacy across the platform, working closely with promoters and partners worldwide.
Sam Sharma joins TEG Live as Head of South Asia & Desi Touring, leading the continued expansion of touring across the region.
Alex Kelsey joins as Head of Country Touring, supported by former Sony Music Australia executive Clayton Doughty, who’s been appointed Head of Strategy, Country Music.
Chris Watson has been promoted to Head of Electronic, Asia Pacific.
Toby Leighton-Pope, currently MD of TEG Europe, will continue to be a key advisor to the group.
What they said:
Tim McGregor: “Live music is evolving quickly, and touring models need to evolve with it. TEG Live is investing in a platform that’s built for collaboration, adaptability and one that supports today’s promoters while setting up the next generation for success.”
