The Weeknd’s 2019 hit “Blinding Lights” has surpassed five billion streams on Spotify, becoming the platform’s most streamed song of all time.

Smash hit:

• “Blinding Lights” was the second single from The Weeknd’s fourth studio album, After Hours.

• Upon its release it spent a year in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart – the first song to do so.

• In January 2024 it became the first song to break four billion streams on Spotify.
